The Opportunity

At Hatch, we’re dedicated to helping kids (and their families) sleep better, and we’re looking for a social media manager who’s ready to match our new social channels with the legacy we’ve built over the past 10 years.

Whether you're jumping on trends, dreaming up new ones, or crafting heartfelt stories that resonate with parents and kids, your work will be seen, shared, and celebrated by our growing community.

As a newer presence on Instagram (@hatchforbabysleep launched less than a year ago) and with plans to launch a baby-focused TikTok, we need someone with the expertise and excitement to build and grow these channels from the ground up. We're excited to empower you to push the boundaries of social media marketing and explore innovative ways to drive organic growth and virality as we have done on our @hatchforsleep channels.

This role will report to the Director of Social and Community. This person must be based in the United States or Canada. Hatch is based out of California, so this role would be asked to be available during PST/PDT hours.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 Months:

You’ll…

  • Immerse yourself in all things Hatch - mission, products, brand & social strategy
  • Establish a relationship with both internal stakeholders and our external social agency
  • Own the calendar and asset management for the kids channels
  • Contribute to the development of the Hatch social voice for our Kids’ channels  in order to properly develop content and engage with our community on Instagram and TikTok
  • Identify relevant trends and opportunities for us to create an engaging community across social channels

Within 6 Months:

You’ll…

  • Develop and implement a parent-first social strategy to grow community while implementing trends and in-app content across YouTube, TikTok, and Reels
  • Increase video output across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram by 20% through strategic content and community engagement.
  • Serve as the voice of the new social channels 
  • Initiate partnerships with our Influencer team to amplify brand awareness.

After 1 Year:

  • You are managing and producing our original, ownable video content output that have garnered thousands of shares, likes, and views. 
  • You have created social trends that have left a footprint across channels within the parenting community
  • Your contribution to the Hatch social has increased brand awareness and a 50% increase in TikTok followers compared to the start

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in an entertainment, consumer goods or lifestyle brand.
  • Ability to concept, shoot and produce a consistent amount of social-first video content for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media strategies that drive engagement, growth, and conversions. TikTok Shop experience is a plus! 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms - YouTube, TikTok, Instagram (Twitch, Discord, and Snap - a plus), algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive content.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
