To enhance this internship we request interns to be onsite 3 days of the week at the Hatch Lab in Redwood City, CA.

The Opportunity

Our Quality Assurance team is excited to welcome a  QA Intern to join us in our mission to help people get their best sleep and to ensure the quality of the Hatch experience is the highest standard possible. We want our customers to rely on us and our product.  This role will report to the Director, QA/QE. This person must be based near Redwood City, CA and be able to join us at the Hatch Lab 3 days a week in person. 

What You’ll Do

Within 3 Months:

• Help support QA with ongoing projects to help ensure that they are delivered on-time and with quality
• Support tracking, and resolutions of project/sprint defects
• Assist on manual testing of mobile or firmware release with a focus on regression testing and feature implementation

Extra +++:

• Create, maintain and modify test cases for new and existing features that ensure comprehensive testing according to the product specifications
• Review and give feedback on product design documentation
• Help with cross functional testing on the mobile app 
• Able to plan and execute regression testing based on changes made by the team
• Own test planning and execution of a feature
• Contribute to hardware defect root cause analysis

What You’ll Bring

• Familiarity with software or embedded systems and basic testing principles (based on focus area)
• Knowledge on iOS and Android devices and applications
• Familiarity with IoT products
• Google suite and atlassian tools experience a plus
• Exhibits humbleness and empathy while working with all team members
• Be responsive, detailed, and reliable; owning responsibilities and transparent communication
• Manage your time effectively so that you're maintaining a 40 hour work week with the appropriate breaks, and no overtime
• Keen eye for detail and strong clear communication skills
• Ask lots of questions, curiosity is a gift
• Have fun and learn as much as you can
