POSITION SUMMARY: Recruits for HI, Guam, American Samoa and Saipan and performs administration of Human Resources functions for HPC operations with oversight and direction from the Human Resources Director. Assists with resolving employee matters and providing guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures. Assists managers with employee relations matters. Responsible for personnel records, maintenance of HR Software platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruits for all locations in Hawaii, Guam, American, American Samoa and Saipan keeping in constant and proactive communication with hiring managers
- Screen applicants in the applicant tracking system and submit to hiring managers for review.
- Interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions and serves as applicants’ point-of-contact when moving through the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Make offers to candidates once the selection process is complete.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and schedules pre-employment physicals and drug screens.
- Represents the organization at various recruitment events.
- Completes onboarding and off boarding of Conducting exit interviews as needed.
- Conducts New Employee Orientations and assists facilitation of training
- Coordinates with the Human Resources Director to resolve employee grievances, attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
- Assists managers with adhering to Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Maintains Human Resources records by maintaining the personnel filing system.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Three (3) years of Recruitment and/or Human Resources experience
- Employee Relations/labor relations experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
- PHR or SPHR designation
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong experience using applicant tracking systems preferred.
