Job Title: Service & Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Service Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Division: HMC

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Production Lead, this position exists to perform light and heavy cleaning by operating a wash rack steam cleaner and a high pressure washer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Cleans equipment by operating wash rack steam cleaner and high pressure washer. .
Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Ensures proper operation of equipment by completing maintenance services and minor repairs; following manufacturer’s instructions.
Determines condition of equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use; reporting requirements.
Completes reports as requested by entering required information.
Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing duties needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
One-year yard experience
Must have a valid Class C license and a good driving record to make deliveries if needed.
Some equipment experience is a plus.
Must be a good communicator and have good customer relations.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS: Applicants may be required to pass a written and/or oral examination before being considered for employment in this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs.
Handling: Seizes, helps or works with hands.
Lifting: Raises or lowers parts weighing up to 60lbs.
Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
Vision: Read paperwork, files and records on the computer.
Talking: Communications by phone and in person.
Sitting: Sits at desk. Sits for minimal periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL:

Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
Temp/Weather: Works in a warehouse environment.
