JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Director, FP&A
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Remote (U.S.)

ROLE SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director of FP&A serves as a strategic and operational finance leader responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and business insight across HCEsquared®. This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business performance into actionable financial strategies.
The Director of FP&A is accountable for the accuracy, clarity, and strategic impact of financial planning and reporting across the organization, including:
- Accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of MBR (Monthly Business Review) and MOR (Monthly Operating Review) reporting
- Ensure integrity and completeness of financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual), including accurate accruals for events and product-related activities
- Own the annual budgeting process timeline, driving cross-functional alignment from initial planning through final approval
- Deliver Board of Directors materials on schedule, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance of financial and business insights
- Ensure financial reporting outputs are aligned to business needs and delivered within defined timelines following monthly and quarterly close
- Provide ongoing financial insight and feedback to business leaders, identifying opportunities to improve execution and drive performance against plan
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead monthly financial reporting and analysis, including MBR (Monthly Business Review) and MOR (Monthly Operating Review), with a focus on actuals, forecasts, and pipeline performance
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including accruals related to events and product offerings
- Own the annual budgeting process, partnering with business leaders to align revenue and cost plans, including price/volume analysis and bottoms-up forecasting across products and segments
- Develop and deliver Board of Directors materials, including financial statements, forecasts, and key business insights
- Manage and optimize ERP systems and financial reporting tools to support business operations and decision-making
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to Products, Sales, Marketing, and Production teams, providing insights and guidance to drive execution against business plans
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated leadership essentials as described above
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A or related finance roles within service-based organizations
- Proven experience building and leading annual budgets, long-range plans (LRP), and rolling forecasts
- Strong expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including driver-based planning, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis
- Demonstrated experience in variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), profitability analysis (by product, customer, or segment), and cost structure optimization
- Experience defining and tracking KPIs, developing dashboards, and delivering clear, actionable reporting
- Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate data into meaningful business insights that inform decision-making
- Strong business acumen with the ability to partner cross-functionally and influence outcomes
Preferred:
- Experience supporting healthcare, digital, or event-driven business models
- Knowledge of dermatology or other specialty healthcare markets
- Proven ability to operate effectively in remote or distributed work environments, partnering with geographically dispersed teams and leaders to deliver outcomes through strong communication, accountability, and autonomy
SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 – $200,000 with annual bonus potential, determined in good faith based on role scope, experience, and market considerations.
