JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Senior Director, Event Production
Reporting To: VP, Production
Location: Remote (U.S.) - Eastern or Central Time Zones strongly preferred

ROLE SUMMARY
As Senior Director, Event Production, you own the seamless, end-to-end execution of our in-person conferences and specialized workshops—turning complex logistics into experiences that feel effortless to everyone in the room. Reporting into the VP, Production, this role serves as the leader of the events execution team of meeting planners and event managers, you set the standard for how dermatology professionals come together: every detail considered, every moment intentional, every event one they remember. When healthcare professionals attend an HCEsquared event, they don't just show up to a conference—they step into a polished, immersive experience that keeps them coming back.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Delivery of the conference portfolio within approved timelines, budgets, and execution standards
- Events execution team recruited, developed, and led to deliver consistent performance across the portfolio
- Execution insights and constraints communicated proactively to inform portfolio planning and optimization
- Exhibit core leadership competencies including accountability, collaboration, strategic vision, problem-solving, resilience, and humility
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, develop, and lead the events execution team (meeting planners and event managers) to deliver consistent, high-quality conference and workshop experiences across the portfolio
- Own day-to-day operational leadership for conference logistics, including F&B, room blocks, exhibit execution, and workshop delivery
- Serve as the primary escalation point for onsite execution issues, coordinating across event managers, vendors, and conference leadership to resolve problems in real time
- Drive execution planning and readiness across assigned conferences, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and vendor deliverables are tracked and met
- Partner with VP Production on budget management, vendor performance, and continuous improvement of execution workflows
- Provide execution insights, constraints, and opportunities to VP Production and conference product leadership to inform portfolio planning and sponsor feasibility
- Ensure consistent execution standards across all events, mentoring team members on best practices, stakeholder management, and onsite leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year degree from an accredited academic institution
- 8-10+ years in conference/event management with progressive leadership
- Experience managing teams of 3+ direct reports in high-volume event environments
- Deep expertise in conference logistics, F&B, room blocks, exhibit coordination
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Budget management experience for events portfolios
- Excellence in onsite execution and real-time problem-solving
- Proficiency in event management platforms (Cvent)
- 5+ years in healthcare or medical conference management
- Understanding of CME compliance and accreditation requirements
- Experience with pharma-sponsored medical education events
- Knowledge of HCP audience expectations and engagement preferences
- Familiarity with dermatology or specialty medicine conferences preferred
