HR Advisor

Reporting to: Associate Director, HR

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until May 2026

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle

  • Lead and oversee the onboarding process
    • Sending contracts and new hire documentation
    • Ensuring HR system set ups are complete, triggering set up for other departments
    • Share Planner board and onboarding objectives with line manager and new starter
    • Host HR new hire orientation on employee’s first day
    • Touch base with line manager and employee during probation, proactively flagging any concerns as well as chasing to ensure completed probation forms are returned to HR and filed
    • Ensure RTW documents are signed and saved
  • Manage and conduct stay interviews
    • Produce analysis and key insights
  • Exit interviews
    • Review and conduct junior exit interviews
    • Produce quarterly analysis of exit data

ER and Policies

  • Central point of contact for employees, providing guidance on sickness, policies and procedures
  • Manage low risk processes including family leave, flexible working requests, absence management etc, escalating to Associate HR Director as needed
  • Manage low risk ER cases
  • Take minutes in formal meetings (disciplinaries, grievances, performance management etc.)
  • Support the wider HR team with effective implementation and management of performance, goal setting, appraisals and engagement surveys

Payroll

  • Ensure that all relevant changes and updates are noted on the payroll database tab in real time
  • Produce the first draft of the monthly payroll logs for the AD to check
  • Download all pre and post update payroll reports

Other

  • Coach line managers consistently, providing guidance around systems, processes and policies
  • Take part in agency and network wide projects, maximising exposure to international team members
  • Partner with senior members of HR team to co-lead and deliver presentations etc. probation period training for line managers
  • Be the first point of contact for immigration and visa queries, managing any migrant activity within the agency
  • Process, oversee and check data entry on the HRIS (including salaries)
  • Ensure relevant contingent workers (and contract end dates) are up to date on HRIS system, extending as needed
  • H&S – Workrite assessments

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of HR experience
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law
  • Experience of coaching
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to confidently multi-task
  • High degree of confidentiality.
