Business Development Manager, Morocco

Casablanca-Settat, Morocco

🚀 Why Headout?

We’re a rocketship: 9-figure revenue, record growth, and profitable

With $200M+ in revenue, guests in 700+ cities, and 18 months of profitability, Headout is the fastest-growing marketplace in the travel industry, and we’re just getting started. We've raised $60M+ from top-tier investors and are building a durable company for the long term — because that's what our mission needs and deserves. We’re growing, profitable and nowhere near done.

What we do is important

In an increasingly digital world, there is a desperate need to augment our human experience by getting us to interact with the real world around us and the people in it. At Headout, our mission is to be the easiest, fastest, and most delightful way to head out to a real-life experience — from immersive tours to museums to live events and everything in between.

Why now?

The foundation is strong. The opportunity ahead is even bigger. We’ve hit profitability, built momentum, and proven the model — but there’s so much more to build. If you’re looking to join a company where the trajectory is steep and your impact is real, this is the moment.

Our culture

Reinventing the travel industry isn't easy, but that's the fun part.
We care deeply about ownership, craft, and impact, and we’re here to do the best work of our careers. We won’t pretend like it’s for everyone but if you’re a builder who loves solving tough problems, you’ll feel right at home.

Overview about the role

Hi, I'm Parth, and I'm hiring a Business Development Manager to join our Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team at Headout. You'll be based in Morocco, ideally in Casablanca or Marrakech, and report to our Regional Business Development Lead for MENA, who oversees the UAE, Egypt, and Morocco.

This is not a role where the work arrives neatly packaged. One day, you may be opening a conversation with a local operator we need to win. On another, you may be negotiating a deal, working through an operational issue, or looking at partner performance to find ways to grow sales. Your job is consistent: find the opportunity, make the commercial case, and get the partner signed, live, and growing.

I'm looking for someone hungry, ambitious, and self-directed. You should be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, building relationships in the local market, and creating momentum without waiting for step-by-step instructions. If that sounds like the way you already work, read on.

Why this role, why now

Headout's mission is to help people experience the world. The experiences travellers book with us come from local operators, and the partnerships we build shape what travellers can discover and book.

Morocco is a key expansion market for Headout, and this is our first Business Development hire based in the destination. You'll play an important role in building our local presence, bringing new operators onto Headout, and growing our existing partnerships.

You'll work closely with our regional MENA team, build relationships with local operators, and identify opportunities to expand our supply and grow bookings. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the market on the ground while working with a regional team.

What you'll own

  • New supply acquisition. Identify operators and experiences we should work with, open conversations, negotiate commercial terms, and get partnerships signed and live.

  • Account management and growth. Build strong relationships with existing partners, identify opportunities to grow sales, and help improve their performance on Headout.

  • Operational execution. Work with Operations, Product, Tech, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other central teams to get partners set up and resolve issues along the way.

  • Market understanding. Build a strong understanding of the local experiences landscape, partner needs, and market opportunities to help guide your business development efforts.

  • Follow-through. Keep things moving across partners and internal teams, flag blockers early, and follow up until the work gets done.

This is a hands-on BD role where you'll own both acquiring new partners and growing existing ones. Your priorities will evolve based on what the market and your partners need most.

You could be a great fit if

  • You bring 4–6 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, or a closely related role.

  • You are fluent in Arabic, French, and English. All three languages are mandatory for this role.

  • You are based in Morocco, ideally in Casablanca or Marrakech.

  • You have experience building partner relationships, negotiating deals, and managing commercial relationships over time.

  • You have strong commercial judgment and can identify opportunities to grow a business.

  • You are proactive and hands-on, comfortable working independently while collaborating with a regional team.

  • You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and can work through challenges without needing constant direction.

You may not enjoy this role if

  • You want a role with close, step-by-step direction.

  • You prefer focusing only on acquiring new partners rather than managing and growing existing accounts.

  • You want to hand over the work once a deal is signed.

  • You wait for perfect information before making a decision.

  • You are uncomfortable handling operational details or following up with internal teams to get things done.

Interview process

We want the process to show you the real work and give you enough context to decide whether Headout is right for you.

  • Recruiter screen. A first conversation about your experience, what you are looking for, and the role.

  • Written case study. A short assignment based on the commercial and strategic decisions involved in this role.

  • Case and market discussion. A 90-minute discussion with the hiring manager and Regional BD Lead to review your case study and discuss your approach to business development and account management in Morocco.

  • Additional leadership conversation. An additional discussion with the founder may be arranged if needed.

  • Reference checks. We'll speak with your references as part of the final evaluation.

You will have time to ask questions throughout.
