About the Senior Software Engineer, Web at Headspace:
Headspace is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer, Web to join its Employer Platform/B2B Team and be responsible for building out great web experiences and expanding access to and monetizing the audiences that Headspace can serve via B2B and SMB Channels. As part of this team, you'll be tasked with prototyping, architecting, and executing on the creation of our enterprise platform, and be integral in the platform's continued growth.
Being on the engineering team, you’ll be working on a product that impacts more than 65M users. You will help us bring new features to life to meet our mission, while also helping push our platform to newer technologies as we embrace the cutting edge. What you will do:
- Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation, collaborating closely with product, design, and data engineering stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities
- Drives the evolution of overall system architecture and quality of our web platform
- Collaborate seamlessly with engineering and cross-functional partners to define, design, ship, and monitor new features while ensuring robust testing and quality standards.
- Effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and keep stakeholders informed and aligned
- Apply your passion for user experience and technical expertise to design and build high impact user workflows
- Develop, mentor and training junior team members, fostering their growth through open and constructive feedback

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects across product and technology initiatives
- Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js, with proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong technical communication skills, written and verbal and a positive mindset to identify, collaborate and drive solutions
- Deep understanding of state management libraries, such as Redux
- Exposure to API Development, in Node.js, Django, Java or similar
- Demonstrated ability to make tough and sound technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs, paired with strong documentation skills
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, using frameworks such as Playwright or similar
- Exposure to alerting, logging and monitoring frameworks
Preferred Skills:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Experience with Node.JS, and Typescript
- Strong understanding of database management, object-oriented programming, and web application development
Pay & Benefits:
The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills and scope required, relevant licensure and certifications, and unique relevant experience and job-related skills. The base salary range for this role is $122,400-$195,500.
