Provider Growth Marketing Manager, Paid Search

Remote; Remote - New York

Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.

Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 60,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.

We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.

About the Role:

Our Growth Marketing team is building a best-in-class mental health provider acquisition engine. We’re looking for a strategic, outcome-driven B2B digital marketer to own and scale our paid search program across Google, Youtube, and Bing. The ideal candidate has deep experience driving direct-response outcomes (CPL, CPA), can translate growth strategy into precise SEM execution, and knows how to use testing, data, and channel expertise to unlock meaningful business impact for mental health providers nationwide.

You Will:

  • Own and scale our paid search channels (Google, Youtube, Bing), managing $xx million budgets and leading channel strategy to hit monthly efficiency and volume targets
  • Build a disciplined experimentation program, with a streamlined process for creating, launching, and evaluating new ads, keywords, bidding strategies, and campaign structures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, marketing analytics, revenue operations, and product marketing to improve funnel performance and strengthen acquisition velocity
  • Deliver clear reporting, insights, and forecasting, monitoring channel health daily through annually and translating trends into actionable recommendations
  • Partner on new landing pages and conversion experiences, ensuring search-driven users receive a cohesive, high-intent journey from query to conversion
  • Stay ahead of the evolving SEM landscape, including platform updates, AI-driven automation, privacy and compliance shifts, GEO/AI Search, and HIPAA-relevant changes affecting performance marketing

You'd be a great fit if:

  • You have 5-7+ years of experience scaling performance-focused SEM campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, or similar platforms, with strong results to back it
  • You are detail-obsessed and process-driven; from UTM rigor to keyword structures to budget pacing, nothing slips through the cracks
  • You have a persistent testing mindset, always looking for ways to improve efficiency, unlock new pockets of scale, and push the channel forward
  • You are highly analytical, comfortable digging into query-level data, attribution, and downstream metrics to derive insights and opportunities
  • You demonstrate strong critical thinking and a bias toward action, moving quickly from hypothesis to execution
  • Experience in high-growth B2B tech companies or startups is a strong plus

The expected base pay range for this position is $121,720 - $179,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based variable compensation and an equity grant, depending on the position and level.

We are committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package, including robust health and wellness benefits, retirement savings, and meaningful ownership opportunities through equity. Compensation decisions are made holistically, ensuring fairness and alignment with market benchmarks while recognizing individual contributions and potential.

  • Benefits offered include:

    • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
    • HSA / FSA
    • 401K
    • Work-from-Home Stipend
    • Therapy Reimbursement
    • 16-week parental leave for eligible employees
    • Carrot Fertility annual reimbursement and membership
    • 13 paid holidays each year as well as a Holiday Break during the week between December 25th and December 31st
    • Flexible PTO
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • Training and professional development
