We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Advisor to provide clinical insight, strategic investment evaluation, and startup advisory support. This role is ideal for an Emergency Medicine physician who is passionate about innovation, venture capital, and emerging healthcare technologies.

Role Overview

The Emergency Medicine Physician Advisor will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting clinical due diligence, and advising healthcare startups on best practices for clinical validation, regulatory compliance, and market adoption. With a strong background in Emergency Medicine, you will help assess innovations that impact emergency departments, urgent care, telehealth, trauma systems, and acute care workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Due Diligence & Market Evaluation

• Assess clinical viability, safety, and efficacy of new healthcare technologies from an Emergency Medicine perspective.
• Analyze emerging digital health, telemedicine, and AI-driven triage solutions that enhance Emergency Medicine workflows.
• Evaluate medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals relevant to Emergency Medicine and critical care.
• Assess regulatory pathways (FDA, CMS, HIPAA) and reimbursement potential, especially for solutions impacting Emergency Medicine settings.

Strategic & Portfolio Company Support

• Provide clinical expertise to portfolio companies developing solutions for Emergency Medicine use cases, including tele-triage, rapid diagnostics, remote monitoring, and AI-assisted decision-making.
• Advise on reimbursement strategies, hospital system integration, and Emergency Medicine-specific regulatory challenges.
• Support Emergency Medicine-focused startups with clinical trial design, physician adoption, and patient engagement strategies.
• Assist in recruiting Emergency Medicine key opinion leaders (KOLs) and building medical advisory boards.

Industry Thought Leadership & Networking

• Stay ahead of emerging trends in Emergency Medicine, including advancements in point-of-care testing, AI-driven diagnostics, and digital health tools.
• Represent the firm at healthcare investment conferences and industry events, particularly within the Emergency Medicine innovation space.
• Engage with Emergency Medicine physicians, hospital systems, EMS providers, and policymakers to strengthen the firm’s presence in the Emergency Medicine investment ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) with clinical experience in emergency departments, urgent care, or trauma centers.
• Strong understanding of Emergency Medicine reimbursement models, healthcare economics, and policy frameworks.
• Experience with healthcare startups, digital health, or venture capital is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate clinical data, business models, and healthcare innovations from an Emergency Medicine standpoint.
