We are seeking a Pediatrician Advisor to provide clinical expertise, strategic investment evaluation, and advisory support for pediatric healthcare innovations. This role is ideal for a pediatrician passionate about venture capital, healthcare startups, and emerging technologies that improve pediatric care.

Role Overview

The Pediatrician Advisor will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting clinical due diligence, and advising healthcare startups focused on pediatric medicine. With a strong background in pediatrics, the pediatrician will help assess innovations that impact pediatric primary care, neonatology, adolescent medicine, pediatric telehealth, and pediatric medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Due Diligence & Market Evaluation

  • Assess the clinical viability, safety, and efficacy of healthcare innovations from a pediatrician's perspective.
  • Evaluate digital health tools, AI-driven diagnostics, telemedicine platforms, and pediatric medical devices that enhance pediatric care delivery.
  • Analyze the regulatory landscape (FDA, CMS, HIPAA) and reimbursement potential, particularly for innovations targeting pediatric healthcare systems.
  • Provide risk assessment on pediatric-specific solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices in pediatric medicine.

Strategic & Portfolio Company Support

  • Offer clinical expertise to portfolio companies developing solutions for pediatric care, including early childhood development, neonatal care, pediatric chronic disease management, and preventive health.
  • Advise on pediatric reimbursement strategies, insurance models, and integration with pediatric healthcare systems.
  • Support pediatric-focused startups with clinical trial design, pediatrician adoption, and parent-patient engagement strategies.
  • Assist in recruiting pediatric key opinion leaders (KOLs) and forming pediatric advisory boards.

Industry Thought Leadership & Networking

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in pediatrics, including advances in neonatal technology, pediatric behavioral health, vaccine development, and AI-driven child health solutions.
  • Represent the firm at healthcare investment conferences and industry events, particularly within the pediatrics and child health innovation space.
  • Engage with pediatricians, children's hospitals, policy leaders, and industry stakeholders to expand the firm’s presence in pediatric healthcare investment.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Pediatrician (MD or DO) with clinical experience in primary care, neonatology, or pediatric subspecialties.
  • Deep understanding of pediatric reimbursement models, child healthcare economics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with healthcare startups, pediatric telemedicine, or venture capital is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating clinical data, business models, and pediatric healthcare innovations.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between pediatricians, investors, and healthcare innovators.
