Role Overview

The Anesthesiologist Advisor will play a key role in evaluating healthcare startups, offering clinical perspectives on medical innovations, and advising on investment opportunities. This role is ideal for a practicing or former anesthesiologist with a deep understanding of hospital systems, perioperative care, and anesthesia-related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Investment Opportunities – Assess healthcare startups with a focus on anesthesiology, perioperative technology, and hospital efficiency.
• Provide Clinical Expertise – Offer insights on medical viability, regulatory considerations, and potential adoption by healthcare systems.
• Advise on Market Trends – Identify emerging innovations in anesthesia, pain management, and perioperative care.
• Collaborate with Investment Teams – Work with investors to analyze clinical data, trial results, and market fit.
• Engage with Founders – Mentor healthcare startup founders, ensuring alignment with real-world medical needs.
• Due Diligence Support – Assist in vetting companies from a clinical and operational standpoint.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) with experience in hospital systems or outpatient surgery centers.
• Strong interest in healthcare innovation, startups, and venture capital.
• Experience with medical devices, digital health, or perioperative technologies is a plus.
• Ability to analyze clinical and financial aspects of healthcare startups.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
