
Accountant
Health Link Home Health and Hospice, a leading home health agency serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area across multiple medical specialties and patient treatments, is currently seeking a self-driven Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position is based at our San Francisco office, where you will work closely with our clinical and office staff to support our mission of delivering compassionate and effective home health and hospice services. This is an immediate opening, and we are looking for someone who can jump in and make an impact right away.

Key Responsibilities:
- Processing payroll,
- maintaining the general ledger,
- handling accounts
payable and receivable, - and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial
and statistical systems; - Preparing periodic financial statements including
balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc. for internal
staff, authorized third parties and regulatory agencies; - Development and monitoring of budgets to support the organization's strategic planning and
decision-making processes; - Conducting periodic financial reviews to
identify variances, analyze the causes of discrepancies, and recommend
adjustments to maintain budgetary compliance; - Executing timely financial operations, adhering to accounting policies, and complying with regulatory
requirements; - Establishing systems for assuring third party reimbursement
and adherence to the regulatory and contractual requirements of payers; - Establishing systems that protect the assets of the organization through
control of cash payments and an effective accounts payable system; - Assuring systems and procedures are in place to demonstrate compliance
with state federal requirements and Medicare, CHAP, and Joint Commission
standards as appropriate; - Reviewing all proposed contracts and agreements
for financial provisions and to assess the financial benefit or risk to the
organization and compiling findings into comprehensive reports that
highlight the financial benefits, risks, and implications of the proposed
contract or agreement; - Ensuring financial transactions and contracts comply
with regulatory requirements and accounting standards; - Preparing the annual operating budget with members of the management team, monitoring
allocation of funds, preparing reports for review and approval of the
governing body and Administrator; - In collaboration with management, establishing strategic short and long-range financial plans;
- Participating in all financial planning activities and making recommendations to the
Governing Body, as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; plus six (6) months
experience required in the following:
- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Financial record keeping
- Transaction verification
- Credit card reconciliation
- General ledger management
- Preparing audit documentation
Rate of Pay : $174,574 per year
