First Databank (FDB) is currently seeking a Software Engineer in the [Department] team. The Software Engineer role has a general foundation in an array of computer science topics and also has a passion and aptitude for continued learning in both technology and business.
The Software Engineer collaborates within a team tasked with developing, testing, and supporting applications and product lines designed for the healthcare/business sectors. This involves engaging with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, to achieve project objectives
This position is based out of our [Location] office and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work onsite at least three days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Development, maintenance and integration of application software.
- Creates, uses, and promotes the use of development frameworks, tools, methodologies and procedures to reduce future coding efforts and increase functional consistency.
- Able to translate software requirements into a fully functional software solution.
- Knowledgeable of design patterns and practices.; implements logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of corporate and customer information systems requirements.
- Provides insight into and knowledge of the latest application architectures, technology, solutions and industry trends.
- Experience with and knowledge of software development life cycles and the activities that occur within lifecycles.
- Be part of a development team using modern development languages, Relational and NoSQL databases
- Work with Product Owners and teams to drive features and specifications, architecture design, implementation, and other software development responsibilities.
- Create and update technical documents.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
- One year+ Software Development experience.
- Basic experience in .NET application development using ASP .NET and C# or basic experience in other languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, etc.
- Relational Database Experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), preferred but not required.
- Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure), preferred but not required
- Knowledge of healthcare industry is a plus.
