Senior Director, Clinical Strategy

As Senior Director, Clinical Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and enabling Heartflow’s clinical evidence roadmap, working closely with Clinical, Technology, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial leadership to align clinical data generation with technology, product, marketing, market access, and regulatory strategies. Job responsibilities:
- Partner cross functionally to determine evidence needs for current and next-generation products
- Develop evidence generation strategies to meet these needs, aligning with market access, regulatory, product development and go-to-market timelines
- Orchestrate evidence dissemination workstreams, partnering with Clinical and Medical Affairs to ensure timely and impactful presentation of key findings
- Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs to evaluate the progress of clinical strategies and the operational efficiency of evidence-generation workstreams
- Synthesize competitive clinical intelligence to ensure Heartflow’s clinical roadmap remains ahead of the curve
- Support the design of clinical trials and real-world evidence studies to demonstrate the safety, efficacy, and clinical impact of Heartflow’s platform
- Establish and maintain deep working relationships with external advisors, key opinion leaders, and investigators to ensure strategy is both current and considerate of future-state
- Partner with Medical Affairs and Clinical Leadership to plan and conduct Advisory Boards related to clinical trial strategy
- Proactively monitor trends in cardiology, clinical AI, digital health, regulatory, and reimbursement landscapes and competitive clinical evidence to inform clinical strategy
Skills Needed:
- Strong project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting timelines, and delivering high-quality output on schedule
- Strategic mindset with proven ability to translate complex topics into actionable, measurable plans
- Expertise in analytics, leveraging data to develop and track quantitative metrics
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, engaging with internal leadership and external KOLs
- Ability to work in a smaller team environment with a willing, all hands-on deck attitude
Educational Requirements & Work Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research, medical affairs, strategy, and/or program management
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preferably business or science. Advanced degree strongly preferred
- Previous experience in cardiovascular therapy and/or diagnostics is highly valued
A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $260,000 to $295,000 per year, bonus, and equity. #LI-DNI
