Construction + Facilities Manager
The Construction + Facilities Manager will oversee the building of 3-5 new veterinary hospitals with grooming salons and 3-5 rebrand remodels per year and manage the facilities maintenance department. The Construction + Facilities Manager’s job is to bid, negotiate, and manage each project through Procore from conception to obtaining the CO, interfacing with both construction professionals, engineers, architects, and senior leaders. In addition, this position will oversee the existing center's repairs and maintenance department. The candidate must be willing to travel 3-4 days per week within the Eastern United States to visit and manage job sites. Travel will include overnight stays. The position includes both hands-on and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Mange construction of new veterinary hospitals and renovation projects from concept through completion.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to determine project specifications.
- Oversee bidding, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
- Review and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structural drawings.
- Hire and manage contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Supervise general contractors and construction teams, providing guidance and oversight as needed.
- Oversee the permitting process and ensure projects meet regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve project issues such as delays, safety concerns, or damage.
- Manage budgets for small to medium-sized construction projects.
- Monitor project costs, change orders, and financial performance.
- Identify and mitigate risk throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Oversee facilities repairs and maintenance across existing veterinary centers.
- Manage facilities specialist responsible for maintenance and repair requests.
- Evaluate facility issues and provide recommendations for repairs and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related field such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Building Science.
- Proven experinece managing construction projects from planning through completion.
- Expertise in Procore construction management software
- Experience managing project budgets and vendor contracts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Willingness to travel frequently to job sites (travel up to 80%)
- Candidates must live within 1 hour of a major international airport
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with medical or veterinary equipment.
- Experience managing multi site facilities operations.
- Experience in fast paced or high growth environments.

The pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position and is determined based on experience, skill set, location and other factors.
Pay Range
$90,000 - $100,000 USD
