Billing Specialist

 Diamondback Plumbing and Cooling- A Helios Company is looking for a Billing Specialist to work onsite at our headquarters in Phoenix, AZ to build and review invoices for accuracy and bill jobs to customers. The ideal candidate must be able to think critically, multitask, and work independently.

WHAT HELIOS NEEDS FROM YOU: 

• Calculates costs for goods, services, and delivery/shipment of goods.
• Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
• Verifies all job purchases have been invoiced to customers at time of billing.
• Records amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
• Contacts customers to obtain and/or verify payment information based on customer credit terms.
• Records customer payments and transactions related to invoices being closed.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Assists Bookkeeper in reconciling daily, weekly, or monthly revenue as needed.
• Support CSR teams with answering phones as needed.

 WHAT SETS YOU APART: 

• 1-2 years Billing experience required. 
• High school education or GED required; Associates and/or bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• Accounting background & HVAC/R or related construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in billing and creating invoices required.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Teams.

Helios determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $18-$22. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
