What is special about this role?

Spend 6 months to a year learning and building at the intersection of genomics and healthcare.

As Software Engineer, New Grad, you will:

  • Learn and deliver on strong engineering best practices from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, product managers, and designers to build cross-functional proof of concepts.
  • Deploy end-to-end applications that drive novel utility in clinical contexts.
  • Impact a variety of business and operational areas, from customer success to research, test to backoffice.

 About you:

  • Recently graduated with a computer science related degree (software engineering, computer software, ect)
  • Coding familiarity with a high-level language such as Python, Go, Javascript/Typescript, Ruby, Java, C#, C++, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to think creatively to derive solutions
  • A passion for improving people’s lives through access to better information about their DNA

Pluses:

  • Previous software engineering internship experience
  • Interest or coursework in genetics, healthcare or bioinformatics

Expected Pay For This Role:

Expected Helix monthly salary range:  $36,000 MXN

The salary range above is our reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role across MX locations. Actual starting pay will be based on non-discriminatory job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about your specific work location salary range during the hiring process. 

 

What To Expect During Your Onboarding Week:

We want to make sure your first week is spent learning the foundations. You will be invited to live orientation sessions and spend time with your hiring manager developing your individual roadmap to success.
