About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, assertive, and results-driven Vice President, Health Plan Sales to drive new business with national and regional health plans. Reporting to the SVP of Health Plan Sales, you will be a senior individual contributor, personally owning complex sales from prospecting through signed contract. Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed individual quota through new business development.
  • Personally originate and lead national and regional health plan opportunities from zero to close: prospect, build executive relationships, qualify needs, develop the business case, present solutions, negotiate and secure signed agreements.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Hello Heart and the value we deliver to regional and national health plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of health plan lines of business, Hello Heart’s products and roadmap, customer needs, and competitive differentiation.
  • Build and manage a health plan pipeline, maintain disciplined CRM practices, and provide accurate, predictable forecasts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to advance complex deals, coordinate contracting and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Use AI tools to strengthen account research, prospecting, meeting preparation, and tailored communications, applying judgment and protecting sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • AI fluency using AI tools to research accounts, identify opportunities, and improve sales effectiveness—while applying sound judgment and verifying outputs.
  • Proven success personally selling enterprise health, benefits or wellness solutions to both national and regional health plans, including a track record of originating and closing complex deals from initial prospecting through signed contract.
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding an individual annual sales quota, including significant health plan wins.
  • Experience using an enterprise sales methodology (Korn Ferry, MEDDPICC, etc.) to qualify opportunities and increase win rates.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex health plan buying processes and build relationships with executive decision-makers and influencers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences.
  • An established network of professional contacts that can help build new pipeline.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and adept at solving problems independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Healthcare management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
