As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Tend, you’ll play a key role in supporting our studio and hub operations. You’ll work hand-in-hand with leadership to elevate employee engagement, nurture talent, and ensure our people strategies are thoughtfully aligned with business goals. In this trusted advisor role, you’ll provide hands-on HR support and practical solutions across multiple locations. With a strong focus on employee relations, development, and engagement, you’ll help create an environment where team members thrive—and where Tend continues to be a place people are proud to be a part of.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate closely with Studio Operations and Hub leadership to align people strategies with business objectives. Provide proactive support around performance, team effectiveness, and workplace culture, ensuring leaders are equipped to build strong, high-performing teams.

  • Employee Relations & Coaching: Serve as the go-to resource for employee relations, offering expert guidance on investigations, conflict resolution, and sensitive matters. Coach leaders through complex situations with clarity, empathy, and a focus on growth.
  • Talent Development: Lead efforts to identify growth opportunities and close skill gaps across teams. Champion leadership development and support impactful learning programs that foster continuous development and career growth.

  • Employee Engagement: Partner with leaders to create meaningful engagement strategies rooted in team feedback and culture insights. Support initiatives that boost well-being, enhance connection, and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive workplace.

  • Performance Management: Coach leaders to deliver thoughtful feedback, set clear goals, and build accountability. Support performance review cycles and development plans that align with individual and organizational success.

  • Change Management: Provide people-first support during organizational changes, including process updates and new initiatives. Develop communication strategies, training resources, and feedback mechanisms to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Keep leadership informed of relevant changes and promote ethical, people-centered approaches to compliance.

  • Onboarding & Training: Deliver a welcoming, impactful onboarding experience that sets new team members up for success. Collaborate with leaders to explore ongoing learning and development opportunities across the organization.

Qualifications:

    • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner within a multi-site, service-oriented environment; experience in healthcare, dental, or similar industries is a plus.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

    • Demonstrated success managing employee relations, coaching leaders, and navigating complex HR matters in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-unit setting.

    • Solid knowledge of HR best practices, especially in employee relations, talent development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.

    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build trust, foster dialogue, and handle sensitive topics with care and professionalism.

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to support teams across Tend Studio locations.
