Tend is looking for a motivated and compassionate Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team and support our commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth clinical operations and delivering a high-quality experience for our patients and dental hygienists.

You’ll be an integral part of our studio, responsible for preparing rooms, assisting with hygiene procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and materials are ready for use.

  • Assist dental hygienists with patient care, including seating patients, taking X-rays, and recording patient medical histories.

  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and assist in the explanation of post-treatment care instructions.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to ensure seamless operations.

  • Follow infection control procedures and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring each visit is comfortable and stress-free.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a dental assisting program is preferred.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and using dental software (preferred but not required).

  • A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to patient care.
