Overview
Hennion & Walsh, a Registered Investment Advisory firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support our financial planners and advisors in developing comprehensive personal financial plans for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and creating financial projections. They will also assist in plan implementation and participate in client meetings as needed. The Paraplanner will work closely with our team to ensure that our clients receive personalized, high-quality financial planning services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in creating comprehensive financial plans using Money
- Gather, input, and analyze client data to develop tailored recommendations
- Perform scenario modeling, stress testing, and asset allocation analysis
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance and updates of existing financial plans to ensure they remain aligned with clients’ goals and any changes in their circumstances
- Prepare and organize client-facing presentation materials
- Collaborate with advisors to ensure plans align with client objectives and expectations
- Maintain accurate client records and planning documentation
- Manage workflows and deadlines to ensure timely plan delivery
- Conduct research to support plan recommendations, including insurance, retirement, and estate planning
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in the financial industry
- Completion of or progress toward the CFP® or other relevant certifications is preferred but not required
- Knowledge and proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines, effectively manage multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately in a dynamic environment

- eMoney software experience
- Series 7
- Series 63 & 65 or 66
- Life, Accident & Health Insurance License
- CFP Professional Designation

The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$70,000 per year, plus variable compensation. Please note this role requires in-person attendance.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the position may also include other variable compensation and benefits including health benefits, 401(k) plan and paid time off.
