Regional Oil and Vacuum Services Sales Manager

Purpose: The Regional Oil and Vacuum Services Manager is responsible for meeting revenue quota for the Oil and Vacuum Services programs within the region.  This includes rep training and development, pricing management, and major account sales.

Essential Duties:

  • Sales Production and meeting quota for the Oil and Vacuum Services programs within the region.
  • Training and Development of all VSSR’s and OSSR’s in the region.
    • Including regular truck rides with each VSSR and OSSR in the region.
  • Train, Implement and Monitor compliance with the company’s Oil and Vacuum Services acceptance procedures.
  • Manage pricing and price exception procedures for the Oil and Vacuum Service programs.
  • Major account sales and retention within the region.
  • Personal Sales efforts at major account and larger prospects.
  • Monitor the business performance on a daily, weekly and period basis.
    • Identify and communicate potential problems or reasons for lack of adequate revenue growth with Regional and Corporate business management.
    • Implement solutions to identified problems.
  • Develop and implement sales contest and incentives to increase gallons and revenue.
  • Report progress of sales performance to Regional and Senior Sales Management.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in hiring Oil and Vacuum Services Sales and Service Reps.
  • Coordinating the startup of new Vacuum or Oil Services trucks, including logistics and supplies.
  • Overseeing emergency response or mitigating issues with hot loads and coordinating these kinds of issues with EH&S.
  • Present a positive image of Crystal Clean to fellow employees, external contacts, the general public

Core Competencies and Specific Skills

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong Sales and Sales analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Division, Region and Branch management as well as other members of branches and the corporate office.
  • Ability to motivate sales and service staff.
  • Ability to Train OSSR and VSSR to provide quality service and how to increase sales
  • Proven record in sales.
  • Must meet CC Driver Qualifications and be able to operate an Oil and Vacuum Service Truck.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • CDL Required 

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including a respirator
  • Safety glasses when working at customers or in the field
  • Steel toe boots when working at customers or in the field

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works in a variety of environments, and is required to see, talk, hear, reach with hands, stand, walk, drive frequently, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Essential duties require bending, squatting and twisting frequently. Employee will frequently be exposed to dirt, dust and fumes.

Noise level of the environment is generally moderate, but may vary depending on customer site visits. Occasionally may be required to lift/move up to 75 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
