The Role
Hermanson Company is seeking a Device Deployment Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This entry-level IT position is responsible for preparing, deploying, maintaining, and tracking company-issued technology equipment for employees in both office and field environments.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and enjoys helping users succeed with technology. This role serves as a first-line IT resource focused on device deployment, inventory management, and basic technical support. More advanced technical issues are escalated to Tier 2 support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Device Deployment & Configuration
- Configure and deploy Windows laptops, mobile devices, and related equipment for new hires and existing employees
- Prepare devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot deployment processes
- Perform device replacements, upgrades, and hardware refreshes
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities related to technology equipment
- Inventory & Asset Management
- Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, warranty information, and equipment lifecycle records
- Receive, inventory, and organize incoming technology shipments
- Coordinate device returns and secure disposal of retired equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployed equipment and support activities
- Support & Standards
- Escalate complex technical issues to Tier 2 support personnel
- Follow company security standards and IT policies
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service, technical support, or IT-related role preferred
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows 11
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Knowledge of mobile device management
- Experience with asset management or inventory control
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical training
- Experience supporting iOS devices
