Role Summary:
The Senior Strategic Events Lead oversees Heven AeroTech’s strategic events portfolio, serving as the end-to-end owner of planning, execution, and performance measurement. This role ensures that all events, such as trade shows, sponsorships, thought-leadership engagements, partner events, and custom events are aligned with markets and business objectives, brand standards, compliance requirements, and ROI expectations. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, and partners with Business Development, Strategic Partners, and external vendors to deliver high-impact, cost-effective events that support long-term growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic events program, including the annual event calendar and full lifecycle management
  • Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer on yearly event list, event objectives and budget
  • Ensure consistent standards, governance, and execution across all approved events
  • Establish event planning frameworks to include logistics, timelines, creative deliverables, and execution standards
  • Execute best-in-class events that align to the business strategy; all events should be part of an overall integrated marketing plan/strategy
  • Provide guidance on event scope, lead times, and delivery strategies to teammates
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking (all budget spend approved by the Chief Marketing Officer)
  • Oversee vendor selection, contracts, and agency performance
  • Ensure compliance with approved vendor and procurement processes
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Government Affairs, and Risk Management
  • Integrate regulatory and government compliance requirements into event planning
  • Provide quality assurance and escalation support as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate post-show reporting
  • Provide visibility into event performance, ROI indicators, and execution outcomes
  • Support senior marketing leadership with insights and recommendations

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience leading strategic, enterprise-level event programs, preferably within aerospace, defense, technology, or highly regulated industries
  • Extensive experience leading strategic, enterprise-level event programs
  • Deep expertise in event operations, including logistics, vendor management, food and beverage, hotel contracts, promotional orders and registration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent events and complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, vendors, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority
  • Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business and market priorities
  • Creative, strategic thinker with experience developing innovative event marketing initiatives, including partnerships, industry forums, and chamber of commerce events

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 30–50%) for event planning, site visits, and on-site execution, including domestic and occasional international travel
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during event setup, execution, and teardown
  • Capability to lift and carry materials up to 25–30 pounds (e.g., event collateral, signage, equipment) as needed
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during events
  • Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment for planning, reporting, and communication
  • Ability to navigate event venues, convention centers, and outdoor environments in varying conditions
