Inventory Control Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for leading the Inventory Control team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in supporting warehouse operations, driving accountability, and leading continuous improvement efforts in alignment with HexArmor’s operational goals and upcoming WMS implementation. The Supervisor will partner cross-functionally with Warehouse, Production, and Quality teams to improve process reliability, minimize inventory variances, and uphold inventory KPIs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise daily activities of Inventory Control Specialists
- Set priorities and assign tasks aligned to cycle count, inventory adjustments, slotting, and special projects
- Coach team members and provide performance feedback
- Ensure safety, accuracy, and productivity standards are met
Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting
- Own the cycle count schedule and reporting; escalate aging variances and recurring issues
- Approve and oversee root cause investigations and inventory adjustments
- Review daily inventory metrics and flag performance gaps
- Partner with Finance for audit support and month-end reconciliation
Warehouse Support
- Collaborate with Warehouse Leads to resolve negative inventory, bin discrepancies, and location errors
- Drive accuracy in bin labeling, LP tracking, and dimensional data integrity
- Oversee special location audits (e.g., WH81 – Inbound Hospital, production bins, and returns)
Process Improvement & WMS Transition
- Lead process mapping and improvement efforts within Inventory Control
- Standardize inventory practices and drive compliance across shifts
- Support data validation and readiness for new WMS go-live
- Utilize reporting tools (SAP, Tableau, Excel) to track team performance and inventory KPIs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management
- 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP (or other ERP/WMS), and inventory analysis tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely
