JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Inside Sales will report to the Vice President of Global Sales and be an integral piece to helping grow an already established organization in the PPE Industry. They will help lead the Account Executive Team to develop new business, grow existing business, and support customer relationships - This person will have 4 direct reports (Inside Sales Managers) with ~30 indirect reports (Account Executives). The ideal candidate will have a track record of building high-performing teams leading inside sales teams in a growing organization. This person will also be expected to develop knowledge of our products, the applications, and industries we serve. They must be proficient in Salesforce.com, and competent in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other tools.

Onsite at HexArmor Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan (640 Leffingwell Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, motivate, and lead a team of Account Executives and Inside Sales Managers to achieve sales goals.
  • Review metrics to identify challenges/opportunities and celebrate successes.
  • Optimize and monitor department’s metrics and KPI’s while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management.
  • Play a critical role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Account Executives and Inside Sales Managers.
  • Utilize company sales tools and evaluate regularly to maximize use and effectiveness.
  • Maximize employee efficiency and effectiveness, developing weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Trainer and Regional Sales Directors to define, plan, and meet joint sales targets, along with other departments.
  • Provide sales and product training and performance coaching to the team and individuals.
  • Help to onboard individuals new to the department and new to sales
  • Evaluate and improve inside sales processes by understanding best practices across industries and evolving as needed.
  • Attend career fairs, networking events, and help build university relations to recruit top talent for summer intern program and entry level sales roles.
  • Occasional participation in regional or national industry trade shows.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Sales certification or training preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years of sales experience required.
  • 5+ years of managing and leading sales
  • Proven track record of success in a high-energy, monthly results driven sales culture.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Business orientation and background in managing to both revenue and efficiency targets.
  • Data-oriented and metrics-focused mindset.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a high-performance team.
  • Previous experience using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.com.
