Product Development Coordinator

SUMMARY
The below the neck Development Coordinator- Helix Series, has a main responsibility of assisting in the development of new products. Company growth has created a need for an additional resource to support the day-to-day product development activities across below the neck product lines. We are seeking a highly energetic, well-organized professional to support our product developers. This position will report directly to the VP of Product Development and offers ample opportunity for growth not only in our product development functions, but within the organization.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Through research and development, helps ensure a full development pipeline
- Assists in the development of roughly 20+ new products per year
- Works in conjunction with multiple departments including sales, marketing and operations to bring a product to the market.
- Has an in-depth understanding of all below the neck product lines
- Uses creative and engineering mindset or approach to solve both product and market issues to drive product line growth
- Has an in-depth knowledge of HexArmor’s competitors’ products lines, understand strengths and weaknesses of competitors and how they compare to HexArmor
- Communicates regularly with external manufacturing partners to develop new products
- Has an excellent understanding of the material performance test standards used by HexArmor
- Assists Marketing and Product Management with technical product detail for collateral development
- Calculates material yields, recommends methods to optimize
- Travels to manufacturing and customer locations as needed (minimal)
- Works with Category Management and Sales to coordinate samples testing, gathering feedback, helps holds sales accountable for feedback.
- Works closely and supports Category Management as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 0-2 years relevant work experience
- 0-5% travel to domestic customers and international partner factories
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Suite are a plus.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate, some college experience preferred.
