About the role
As the Acquisition Manager, you will own all audience acquisition across heycar UK. This is the senior, hands-on performance marketing role in the business, responsible for delivering high-quality leads at scale across paid digital channels and commercial partnerships.
You will manage a significant proportion of the marketing budget and be directly accountable for performance. This is not a purely strategic role - we are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable operating within platforms day-to-day (e.g. SA360, Meta Ads Manager), continuously optimising campaigns and driving incremental gains.
Working closely with the CMO and our external performance marketing agency, you’ll manage acquisition strategy while remaining close to execution, ensuring campaigns are technically sound, efficiently run, and delivering against clear commercial targets.
You’ll act as the central voice of acquisition across the business, working with our agency, in-house teams, and external partners to drive performance, innovation, and best practice.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with the CMO to define and execute acquisition strategy across digital channels and commercial partnerships
- Own day-to-day campaign performance across all acquisition channels, with a hands-on approach to optimisation within key platforms
- Lead the relationship with our performance marketing agency, working closely with them in tools such as SA360 and Meta Ads Manager to ensure high standards of execution, clear accountability, and continuous campaign optimisation.
- Own forecasting, budget allocation, and in-week optimisation decisions to ensure delivery against targets
- Partner with product, data, and proposition teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve conversion and channel efficiency
- Work closely with brand and organic teams to ensure a cohesive and effective full-funnel marketing approach
- Own partner relationships across commercial lead-generation channels, ensuring performance, compliance, and ongoing optimisation
- Ensure all campaigns are correctly tracked, measured, and attributed - working with analytics and engineering teams to deliver full end-to-end visibility from impression through to lead and sale
- Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, maintaining strong visibility of results across the business
What you’ll need
- 5+ years’ experience managing large-scale digital acquisition budgets in a high-growth or performance-driven environment. Direct experience in automotive is an advantage.
- Deep, hands-on experience running campaigns across Google Ads / SA360 and Meta Ads Manager; this role requires someone who is comfortable working directly in-platform on a daily basis
- Strong technical understanding of tracking, attribution, and campaign setup, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Proven ability to optimise campaigns at a granular level to drive efficiency and performance improvements
- Experience owning budgets, forecasts, and delivering against clear commercial targets
- Experience managing commercial lead generation or partner channels is highly desirable
- Highly numerate and comfortable working with data tools such as Excel / Google Sheets and platforms like Hex or Looker/Tableau
- Ability to translate complex performance data into clear insights and actions for a range of stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively
- Calm, pragmatic, and solutions-focused, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
What we’ll give you:
- Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + performance based bonus
- Holidays: We want you to relax, you’ll have 28 days off (plus bank holidays) throughout the year. We also give you an extra day off to enjoy your birthday!
- Benefits + Perks: With private medical insurance, learning and development opportunities and mental health support we’ll give you the extra boost.
- Hybrid Working: We have a flexible working culture here at heycar. With hybrid working in our offices in Holborn (London) and working from home days.
- Feedback: You'll be joining more than just another scale up - our team are at the heart of everything we do; here we don’t leave things unsaid, we encourage honest feedback.
- A Challenge: Fast paced but not fraught. So we need you to keep up, push back and question where you see fit.
- Fun: We provide a fully stocked kitchen and bar, an awesome office environment and epic socials.
If you’re ready to work with a creative, high-performing group of people we want to hear from you.
