You’ll be responsible for developing flexible, scalable servicing capabilities supporting the full borrower lifecycle: account management, billing, payments, collections, charge-offs, disputes, and operational tooling.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, operations, compliance, and risk teams to build servicing APIs, internal tools, and client-facing dashboards that power efficient, compliant credit management for diverse business models.
You’ll bring an ownership mindset, strong product rigor, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution to elevate Highnote’s platform.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define and drive the product roadmap for Highnote’s credit servicing platform, ensuring flexibility to meet a variety of subscriber needs.
- Formulate servicing product strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and lead execution from discovery through launch and ongoing iteration.
- Design and deliver servicing capabilities across account management, billing cycles, payment processing, collections workflows, adjustments, charge-offs, and dispute handling.
- Collaborate with engineering and design to develop intuitive APIs, servicing operations tooling, and customer-facing interfaces where appropriate.
- Develop reporting and insights that help subscribers monitor portfolio health, borrower performance, and operational servicing metrics.
- Partner with risk, operations, compliance, and finance to ensure servicing solutions meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research to understand evolving credit servicing trends, compliance shifts, and subscriber needs.
- Create clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that outline user stories, technical considerations, and key success metrics.
- Define and track critical KPIs to assess product success and guide roadmap evolution.
Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally building credit servicing, loan management, or payments infrastructure for a B2B platform.
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of credit servicing processes, including billing, payment allocation, collections, adjustments, charge-offs, and dispute management.
- Platform Thinking: Experience developing flexible, API-driven infrastructure supporting multiple business models and experiences.
- Execution Excellence: Proven ability to drive high-quality product delivery in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills; experience working with Data Science and Operations to define servicing metrics and iterate on performance.
- Strategic & Tactical Balance: Ability to set a high-level servicing strategy while diving deep into operational workflows, technical edge cases, and compliance requirements.
- User-Centric Mindset: Passion for designing excellent experiences for both subscribers and internal operations teams.
- Communication & Influence: Ability to align technical, business, and leadership stakeholders around servicing initiatives.
- Ownership Mindset: Treats servicing as a core business — relentlessly driving quality, scalability, and business impact.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience building loan servicing platforms, credit management systems, or B2B financial infrastructure products.
- Strong knowledge of collections processes, charge-off and recoveries handling, or payment dispute resolution.
- Familiarity with ledgering systems, repayment waterfall logic, and servicing operational risk management.
- Technical fluency with APIs, payment processing systems, and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau).
- Experience operating in highly regulated financial environments and collaborating closely with compliance and legal teams.
