Job Description:

Highnote is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Credit Servicing to lead the development of our credit servicing platform. Your work will enable Highnote’s clients—innovative fintechs, platforms, and brands—to build and scale exceptional credit experiences with robust servicing infrastructure.

You’ll own the full credit cardholder lifecycle — from onboarding, billing, and payments to collections, charge-offs, disputes, and operational tooling. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and data science to build scalable, highly accurate servicing capabilities that meet the complex needs of our clients. This role will shape how Highnote’s platform delivers financial accuracy, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client experiences.

You’ll also help drive our platform’s AI and automation roadmap — partnering with data science and engineering to apply Generative AI and machine learning to optimize servicing workflows, reduce manual processes, proactively identify exceptions, and improve portfolio performance.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong product leadership with a solid foundation in accounting and finance. Experience in Investment Banking, Public Account and credit card or lending servicing operations is highly desirable.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for Highnote’s credit servicing platform, ensuring flexibility to meet a variety of subscriber needs.
  • Formulate servicing product strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and lead execution from discovery through launch and ongoing iteration.
  • Design and deliver servicing capabilities across account management, billing cycles, payment processing, collections workflows, adjustments, charge-offs, and dispute handling.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to develop intuitive APIs, servicing operations tooling, and customer-facing interfaces where appropriate.
  • Partner with Data Science to apply GenAI and ML to servicing processes, driving automation, exception handling, and performance optimization.
  • Design financial models, calculations, and reporting to support reconciliation, financial reporting, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Partner with risk, operations, compliance, and finance to ensure servicing solutions meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research to understand evolving credit servicing trends, compliance shifts, and subscriber needs.
  • Create clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that outline user stories, technical considerations, and key success metrics.
  • Define and track critical KPIs to assess product success and guide roadmap evolution.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in fintech, lending, credit, financial operations, or financial infrastructure — or equivalent experience in accounting, investment banking, or financial services.
  • Strong foundation in accounting, finance, or financial operations; experience with financial calculations, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional product development across engineering, operations, risk, compliance, and finance.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ownership mindset — driven to build highly reliable, scalable, and auditable financial systems.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Background in credit card servicing, lending servicing, or financial servicing operations.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of credit servicing processes, including billing, payment allocation, collections, adjustments, charge-offs, and dispute management.
  • Familiarity with ledgering systems, repayment waterfall logic, and servicing operational risk management.
  • Platform Thinking: Experience developing flexible, API-driven infrastructure supporting multiple business models and experiences.
  • Strategic & Tactical Balance: Ability to set a high-level servicing strategy while diving deep into operational workflows, technical edge cases, and compliance requirements.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, payment processing systems, and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau).

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience building loan servicing platforms, credit management systems, or B2B financial infrastructure products.
  • Strong knowledge of collections processes, charge-off and recoveries handling, or payment dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with ledgering systems, repayment waterfall logic, and servicing operational risk management.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, payment processing systems, and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau).
  • Experience operating in highly regulated financial environments and collaborating closely with compliance and legal teams.
