IT Manager
About Hightouch
Hightouch is the modern AI platform for marketing and growth teams. Our AI agents reimagine marketing workflows, allowing marketers to create content, plan campaigns, and execute strategies with transformational velocity and performance.
Hightouch is a rare company built on the intersection of two fundamental technological shifts: advances in LLMs and agentic AI, and the creation and rapid adoption of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and Databricks. Building on these tailwinds, we’ve become a leader in AI marketing and partner with industry leaders like Domino’s, Chime, Spotify, Ramp, Whoop, Grammarly, and over 1000 others.
Our team focuses on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We approach challenges with first-principles thinking, move quickly and efficiently, and treat each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members who are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.
About The Role
We’re hiring our first dedicated IT Manager to own and scale our internal IT function as we grow toward 600+ employees globally. This role is accountable for fast and low-friction IT outcomes while helping Hightouch scale and achieve our compliance goals.
Today, we partner with a third-party IT vendor for hands-on execution. This role will own the outcomes, manage vendors, define and evolve our processes, and serve as the internal point of accountability for all things IT as we scale.
This individual will report into our Head of People Operations with a strong dotted line to our Engineering Manager.
What You'll Do
IT Operations & End-User Experience
- Own end-to-end IT operations, increasing speed and consistency for onboarding, offboarding, laptop lifecycle, access management, and device security
- Ensure reliable, scalable, and auditable IT processes as the company grows
- Create a sense of urgency for the resolution of IT issues and act as the primary escalation point when there is friction
- Partner with People Ops and Engineering to ensure seamless employee lifecycle support for our global and growing workforce
- Partner with Engineering and Security to administer laptop refresh cycles, software provisioning, patching, and endpoint security controls
Vendor & Tooling Management
- Own the relationship with our IT vendor(s), including performance management, SLAs, and cost effectiveness
- Evaluate when to optimize, replace, or bring capabilities in-house as we scale
- Own tooling decisions across identity, endpoint management, and IT automation (e.g., Google Workspace, Rippling, MDM tools)
Security, Compliance & Audit Partnership
- Partner closely with Security and Engineering to ensure IT processes support SOC 2 / ISO / future compliance needs
- Ensure controls are implemented practically, balancing risk mitigation with employee velocity
- Maintain audit-ready evidence for IT-owned controls and workflows
- Help evolve guardrails, automation, and policies so audits are predictable — not fire drills
Scaling with Intention
- Bring best practices from high-growth environments and apply them thoughtfully
- Anticipate what IT needs to look like at 600–1,000 employees
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Influence without over-process — knowing when structure is necessary and when flexibility matters
What We're Looking For
- Experience owning all IT operations across the business, with meaningful time spent in high-growth startup environments
- Experience owning IT outcomes while working with third-party vendors or MSPs
- Strong understanding of modern SaaS-based IT environments (Google Workspace, SSO/IdP tools, cloud-first orgs)
- Working knowledge of security and compliance concepts (SOC 2, ISO 27001, endpoint security, access controls)
- Comfort operating in ambiguity — and turning it into clarity
- Strong judgment around balancing controls with speed
Bonus If You Have
- Experience with Rippling
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams
- Prior exposure to audits or compliance programs in fast-moving companies
The salary range for this position is $160,000-$220,000 USD per year which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options and offer early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.
