Position Overview
The IT Manager will play a key role in overseeing the organization's technology infrastructure, managing complex IT projects, and ensuring that IT initiatives align with our overall business goals. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong management skills, technical knowledge, and a focus on driving operational excellence through technology. This position will require being in-office most days in NYC.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Chief Technology Officer to implement and elevate the agency’s IT strategy to align with business objectives and drive growth.
- Technical escalation point within the agency.
- Management and development of agency IT Support.
- Implementing, driving user adoption, and ensuring best usage of new technologies within the agency.
- Management of networking and cloud infrastructure within agency
- Ensuring infrastructure and endpoint asset management, including refresh cycles, vulnerability management, and patching/updates, are maintained per the agency's cybersecurity policies.
- Help drive and inform next-generation technology development
- Assist with selection and implementation of agency technology initiatives.
- Oversee the design, maintenance, and security of key infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient operations.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including resource allocation, budget management, and timeline adherence.
- Cultivate a high-performing IT team by recruiting, mentoring, and managing staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology innovations and process enhancements.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to cybersecurity and data protection, safeguarding the organization’s assets and information.
What You Bring
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in an IT Support role, preferably in an agency
- Able to script or code in at least 1 popular coding language.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise IT systems, SaaS/Cloud, and IT infrastructure, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, CrowdStrike, Okta, Jamf, KnowBe4, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AWS services.
- Familiar with AI technologies
- Understanding of IT processes, governance, and compliance requirements
- Outstanding leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Mac OSX and Windows platform configuration and management
- Can demonstrate knowledge of service desk ticketing-based software
- Can demonstrate knowledge of endpoint management and security

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Location & Work Environment
Highwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live.
Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week.
Remote: We hire for fully remote roles in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C.
