Account Executive, Social & Influencer

Highwire is seeking an Account Executive, Social & Influencer to join our growing digital team to help execute innovative social media and influencer marketing programs on behalf of some of the world’s most recognized brands. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone passionate about digital culture, social media, influencer engagement, and emerging platforms.

The digital landscape is constantly evolving, and we are looking for someone who is naturally curious, eager to learn, and excited to explore new online communities, influencer networks, content formats, and digital marketing opportunities. Highwire’s digital team combines strategic thinking, exceptional content development, strong client service, and a collaborative mindset to deliver award-winning work that drives measurable business results.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams across several client accounts. You are excited to contribute to social media and influencer campaigns from planning through execution, while continually identifying opportunities to improve performance, strengthen client relationships, and expand your digital marketing expertise. Working closely with senior team members, Account Executives play an important role in delivering exceptional client experiences and impactful campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service & Account Management

  • Manage assigned portions of client programs and social media and influencer activation deliverables, ensuring projects are completed accurately, on time, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and teammates through consistent communication, responsiveness, and reliable execution.
  • Support account teams in preparing client updates, presentations, meeting materials, and campaign recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of client business goals, target audiences, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.

Social Media Marketing

  • Write and edit engaging, platform-native social content that aligns with client brand voice, messaging, and campaign objectives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies designed to increase awareness, engagement, and business impact.
  • Manage content calendars and publishing schedules across multiple social platforms.
  • Support community management efforts through social listening, audience engagement, trend monitoring, and issue escalation when appropriate.
  • Stay informed on platform updates, emerging social trends, and best practices to identify opportunities for clients.

Influencer Marketing

  • Research, identify, and vet influencers and content creators aligned with client goals and audiences.
  • Support influencer outreach, contracting and negotiation, content review & approval, and overall campaign coordinations. 
  • Monitor influencer content performance and contribute recommendations to optimize future programs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with influencers, creator partners, agents and representatives. 
  • Demonstrate expertise across diverse influencer communities, industries, and subject matter areas. 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track social media and influencer campaign performance using platform analytics and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to recurring client reports by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
  • Support measurement efforts tied to client objectives, including awareness, engagement, website traffic, lead generation, and other key performance indicators.
  • Help identify opportunities for optimization based on performance data and campaign learnings.

Team Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Collaborate effectively with creative, paid media, analytics, and PR teams to ensure integrated program execution.
  • Mentor interns and junior team members on foundational social media, influencer, and account management tasks.
  • Contribute ideas for creative campaigns, content strategies, influencer activations, and emerging digital opportunities.
  • Pursue ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends, platform innovations, and digital marketing best practices.

Success Factors:

  • 2–4 years of agency experience or equivalent experience in social media, influencer marketing, digital marketing, content development, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Experience supporting social media programs and influencer marketing campaigns.
  • Independently capture, edit, and produce social media content for client channels, including filming short-form video at client locations, events, activations, and other content opportunities.
  • Be comfortable both behind and in front of the camera, including self-filming and appearing in content when required, to create platform-native assets optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting, emails, and presentations.
  • Growth mindset with a desire to continuously learn, improve, and take on new challenges.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Traackr, Audiense, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.

 

The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $72,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Location & Work Environment

Highwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live.

Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with three in-office days per week.

Remote: We hire for fully remote roles in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C..
