About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Manager to oversee the site operations of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Menlo Park, CA. This individual will ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and compliantly with all regulatory and environmental standards. The Senior Manager requires a strong understanding of environmental controls and safety protocols, as well as knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing. They will work closely with Quality, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Engineering, and regulatory affairs to maintain a safe and compliant facility. The Senior Manager will report to the VP of Pharmacy Enablement.
You Will:
- Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Monitor environmental control systems (HVAC, cleanroom conditions, air pressure differentials, etc) to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Support compliance with FDA, DEA, OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations for pharmaceutical manufacturing through partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with EHS teams to identify and mitigate safety risks, ensuring a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Oversee facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment and systems.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors for facility-related services such as HVAC, sanitation, security, and emergency response.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in facility management, safety, and compliance processes.
- Support operations and growth initiatives for the rest of the business as needed.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in facility management, operations, or a related role - preferably within a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or peptide manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring and EHS best practices.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, and EPA.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and working cross-functionally with QA, EHS, and regulatory teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage complex operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a 503B outsourcing facility or sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Facility Management (CFM), Lean Six Sigma, or relevant industry certifications.

Conditions of Employment:
- This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
- This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location. H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that may include an equity grant.

$150,000 - $180,000 USD
