Customer Marketing Manager

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

We’re hipages, Australia’s #1 digital platform connecting households with trusted home improvement businesses. As an ASX-listed tech company, we’re on a mission to transform the home improvement industry.

With teams across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Vietnam, we work as one team with a shared purpose. We’re proud to be a certified Great Place to Work and WORK180’s #1 Employer for Women. At hipages, you’ll find real impact, career growth and a workplace where everyone belongs.

About the role

In this role, you’ll influence how hipages engage household customers across the lifecycle, with a primary focus on driving first time, but mostly repeat engagement and incremental owned jobs.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Engagement & Personalisation, you’ll operate as the household specialist within Customer Engagement & Personalisation working closely with Marketplace Growth and Marketing Strategy & Go To Market teams to optimise household specific customer growth programs, identify and implement high-impact experiment opportunities, and build a clear roadmap for what comes next.

You’ll also work closely with our lifecycle team to scale out your experiments and shape the broader household lifecycle roadmap.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys quickly getting across complex systems, improving what’s already in the market, and delivering measurable impact.  Based in our Sydney office, this full time role offers a hybrid working with two WFH days per week.

Why join our Marketing team?

  • 💪 A clear company purpose and a strong, trusted brand
  • 💻 Hybrid working model with two days WFH per week
  • 🤸 Cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Creative Services
  • 🪴 In-house Talent Development team to support your personal and career growth
  • 💵 Competitive salary, benefits and perks.

How you will add value

  • Define priorities: Partner with Customer Engagement & Personalisation, Marketplace Growth, and Marketing Strategy & Go To Market to identify and prioritise the highest-impact commercial initiatives for households.
  • Optimise lifecycle journeys: Review, design and refine lifecycle programs through structured testing to improve repeat engagement and repeat job posting while driving growth of our household audiences.
  • Use insights to guide decisions: Leverage customer data, research and behavioural signals to uncover needs, friction points and growth opportunities. You’re comfortable working directly with data and analytics tools to surface insights independently.
  • Deliver personalisation at scale: Lead household lifecycle execution across Braze channels, including email and web/app push, leveraging martech to drive personalisation even further.
  • Drive experimentation and learning: Plan, run and evaluate experiments, using results to iterate and scale what works.
  • Write with purpose: While we do have a copywriting team, you're comfortable owning first drafts and working iteratively with our copywriting team, rather than handing off cold.
  • Communicate impact: Share results, insights and recommendations with stakeholders to drive alignment and momentum.
  • AI Fluency: You leverage AI-assistance decision making and task creation to accelerate your growth and open up future opportunities.

About you:

  • You’re a commercially minded lifecycle marketer who’s comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels, and who thrives in cross-functional environments.
  • 5+ years’ experience in lifecycle, customer or data-driven marketing (experience in SaaS, subscription or platform businesses preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or HubSpot.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams.
  • Proven experience running growth experiments and using insights to improve performance.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills and are able to clearly articulate impact and recommendations.
  • A genuine curiosity about customers and their behaviour.
  • A metrics-driven mindset with a bias toward action and optimisation.
