About This Role:

The  Insurance Operations Product Analyst role provides specialized insurance product expertise to support operational, risk management, and compliance needs across the organization. Serving as a subject matter expert, the role collaborates with business units and cross-functional teams to guide product operations and data needs for new and existing programs. The position also supports enterprise initiatives—such as program due diligence, and product management. Through strong analytical and advisory capabilities, the role helps maintain compliant, informed, and strategically sound insurance operation practices.

About You:

You are a strategic, detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, able to assess complex insurance product operations and make sound, data-driven decisions. You are highly organized, effectively managing multiple priorities while supporting both day-to-day operations and broader enterprise initiatives. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to diverse audiences, enabling strong cross-functional collaboration and informed, compliant decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct research on insurance products and document data inventory requirements to support business processes, compliance analytics, and risk management activities.
  • Analyze insurance products to identify and interpret applicable risk and compliance requirements, including detailed mandatory data elements needed to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with business units to deliver product-specific expertise, guidance, and consultation that enable effective execution of operational and strategic responsibilities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for insurance products within the company’s underwriting and business appetite.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives requiring insurance product advisement, including due diligence research, regulatory data calls and reporting, and product development or management efforts.
  • Provide advisory support on compliance requirements, including product-related guidance for compliance and regulatory projects (e.g., ISO/ISS).
  • Review and interpret regulatory updates communicated by Legal or Compliance and translate them into actionable business requirements.
  • Lead the review and approval of data onboarding requirements for new programs or product implementations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

 

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in any of the following:
    • Insurance product filing or development
    • Insurance product or regulatory research
  • Understanding of insurance and regulatory terminology and/or operations.
  • Familiar with various insurance sources such as Insurance Services Office Manual/Circulars, NAIC, SOVOS, etc).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions through analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas and adjust communication based on audience
  • Certification/designation in ARM, CIC or CPC+U a plus
