If you're energized by building what's next, we'd love to meet you.

About The Job:

We are seeking an Experienced General Liability Claims Adjuster who is licensed in multiple states to manage a diverse caseload of bodily injury and property damage claims. The ideal candidate has a strong background in liability investigation, coverage analysis, negotiation, and litigation management, and is comfortable handling claims across varying state statutes and regulatory requirements. Above all, we're looking for someone who is committed to delivering excellent service and building trust with every claimant and policyholder they work with.

What You'll Do:

  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve general liability claims (premises liability, products liability, personal injury, property damage, and related exposures) across multiple jurisdictions
  • Conduct thorough coverage analysis and apply relevant policy terms, conditions, and exclusions
  • Interview claimants, witnesses, and insureds; secure statements and gather supporting documentation
  • Partner with legal counsel, defense attorneys, and outside experts on litigated claims
  • Set and maintain appropriate case reserves in accordance with company guidelines and state regulations
  • Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, attorneys, and third-party representatives
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific unfair claims practices acts and licensing/regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions handled
  • Manage claim files from first notice of loss through resolution, including subrogation and recovery opportunities
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the claims management system
  • Stay current on evolving state regulations, case law, and industry trends affecting liability claims handling
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to claimants, insureds, and business partners throughout the life of each claim — communicating with empathy, professionalism, and transparency at every touchpoint
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and proactively provide status updates to keep all parties informed and confident in the claims process

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 7+ years of general liability/commercial lines claims adjusting experience
  • Active adjuster licenses in multiple states (or ability to obtain reciprocal/designated home state licenses quickly); multi-state licensing strongly preferred or required depending on assigned territory
  • Strong understanding of liability law, tort principles, and policy coverage interpretation across jurisdictions
  • Proven track record of managing complex and/or litigated claims to resolution
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service, with the ability to balance strong claims outcomes with a positive, empathetic experience for claimants and policyholders
  • Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Designations such as AIC, CPCU, or SCLA are preferred
  • Experience handling claims involving construction, retail, hospitality, or products liability exposures is preferred
  • Experience working with third-party administrators (TPAs) or self-insured programs is preferred
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus
