Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 8 years

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and a proven track record of working with modern data solutions. Experience with Microsoft Fabric is essential, as it will play a key role in our data strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
    • Implement robust ETL processes to integrate data from diverse sources.
  • Architecture & Integration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect data solutions that align with business objectives.
    • Leverage Microsoft Fabric to build integrated data platforms and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Data Modeling & Warehousing:
    • Develop data models and design data storage solutions.
    • Optimize data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting.
  • Performance & Quality:
    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and quality.
    • Implement data governance and security best practices.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data engineering ecosystem.
    • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
    • Must have SME (Subject Matter Expert) Knowledgebase of Microsoft Fabric Ecosystem
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database design.
    • Expertise in ETL tools, data integration, and pipeline orchestration.
    • Expertise with Data Governance Tools, Microsoft Perview
    • Hands-on experience with Power BI semantic modeling and Direct Lake architecture.
    • Programming skills in languages such as Python/Spark.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and it’s data services.
    • Experience with modern data warehousing and big data technologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
  • Proven track record in leading data initiatives and mentoring teams.
