Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and a proven track record of working with modern data solutions. Experience with Microsoft Fabric is essential, as it will play a key role in our data strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Implement robust ETL processes to integrate data from diverse sources.
- Architecture & Integration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect data solutions that align with business objectives.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric to build integrated data platforms and ensure seamless data flow.
- Data Modeling & Warehousing:
- Develop data models and design data storage solutions.
- Optimize data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting.
- Performance & Quality:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and quality.
- Implement data governance and security best practices.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data engineering ecosystem.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
- Must have SME (Subject Matter Expert) Knowledgebase of Microsoft Fabric Ecosystem
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database design.
- Expertise in ETL tools, data integration, and pipeline orchestration.
- Expertise with Data Governance Tools, Microsoft Perview
- Hands-on experience with Power BI semantic modeling and Direct Lake architecture.
- Programming skills in languages such as Python/Spark.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and it’s data services.
- Experience with modern data warehousing and big data technologies.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
- Proven track record in leading data initiatives and mentoring teams.
