Section Grower Supervisor
About The Job
The Section Grower Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day crop health, plant maintenance and cleanliness of assigned zones. Responsible for irrigation, data collection, environmental adjustments and efficient use of labor for routine plant work, cleaning and harvesting. Additionally responsible for other support systems and directed by the Cultivation Manager, which could include the highest possible standards of work in cultivation, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness in accordance with State regulations and standards set by the company.
- Assist the Cultivation Manager with supervision and direction of cultivation staff, grow schedules, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relations.
- Coordinate with other Section Grower Supervisors and the manager to determine labor scheduling for regular plant maintenance.
- Assist the Cultivation Manager with responding to all cultivation staff questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts
- Oversee proper techniques related to cultivation, including but not limited to: transplanting, pruning, defoliating, watering and feeding.
- Ensure regular data collection is performed in assigned areas and any irregularities are reported to the manager
- Assist with and delegate tasks to cultivation associates to maintain a compliant and clean cultivation facility.
- Monitor environmental conditions of assigned areas daily and report any irregularities the manager and/or maintenance.
- Ensure proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing the transition of product development by ensuring that the proper tasks are executed and that the environmental conditions support the cultivation of superior quality product in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain functionality of equipment and the facility, making minor repairs and reporting larger repairs and equipment replacement to Assistant Cultivation Manager.
- Oversee supply stock, orders, and deliveries to ensure efficient levels of all cultivation inputs and supplies.
- Use the Argus system to accurately and efficiently water crops. Correctly using VPD to water crops.
- Accurate in judging water needs of the crops independently while maintaining appropriate pH and EC levels.

General
- Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain marijuana work credentials.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma
- Two-year degree in a horticultural or agricultural field or demonstrated experience in horticulture or agricultural production preferred.
- Cannabis experience preferred
- At least two years of relevant work experience in a hydroponic vegetable production or bedding plant production facility is desired.
Technological Skills:
- Experience with automation systems
