
Workforce Management Specialist
The Workforce Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring all hourly employees are assigned to the correct supervisor team and schedule in Home Chef's systems to enable accurate forecasting of labor. This role is a close partner with the plant leadership and HR teams, enabling real-time workforce data that drives business decisions as well as ensures accurate time recording and pay for associates.
Detailed Responsibilities
Develop and Manage Team Structure:
- Work with site leadership and the local HR team to create and maintain team structures in our production facility, ensuring new associates are assigned to work teams that balance the needs of the business and the success of the associates.
- Provide ongoing management of team structure and data including, but not limited to, maintaining an accurate list of each supervisors team by referencing ADP, assigning new employees to a team, updating data in the system as employee schedule changes occur
- Serve as a partner with production and recruiting, providing data and insight that merges recruiting efforts with production needs.
- Manage internal shift transfer needs
- Validate the daily temp labor headcount and assign temp labor to teams with open headcount
Scheduling Maintenance and Tool Maintenance:
- Sole owner of the Kronos scheduling tool, creating and maintaining standard processes for all changes entered in the tool. Ensure data integrity, transparency in processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of how work is done.
- Deep dive all schedule discrepancies within the scheduling tool to root cause and work with stakeholders to remedy
- Act as a liaison between HR and Supporting Departments to ensure all schedules held within the scheduling tool are accurate, driving correct time clock data and ultimately ensuring accurate pay for all hourly employees.
Workforce Tracking and Management:
- Oversee and track all direct and temporary labor, including monitoring attendance, hours worked across all departments.
- Manage employee attendance records and report on key metrics to Operations Manager.
- Compile and analyze workforce hours to provide insights for staffing decisions and budget planning.
Data and Document Management:
- Scan, organize, and store all end-of-shift Production papers in the shared Drive, ensuring all documents are clearly separated for 1st and 2nd shifts to maintain traceability.
General Responsibilities:
- Follow the facility’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and enforce them throughout the facility
- Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs

Qualifications

- General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED).
- Self starter who approaches challenges creatively and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets required
- Minimum of 2 years experience with workforce planning, workforce management, staffing, and/or scheduling in a manufacturing or operations environment is required
- Kronos experience preferred, but not required
- Bilingual preferred, but not required

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.

$50,000 - $60,000 USD
