Help Shape the Future of New Home Construction! 

Are you a builder passionate about Ontario’s new home building industry and eager to make a meaningful impact? Join the Home Construction Regulatory Authority’s (HCRA) Industry Advisory Council (IAC)! 

Your Role and Impact: 

The IAC plays a vital role in providing independent, non-partisan advice to the HCRA’s Board of Directors on emerging issues in the new home construction sector. As a member, you’ll help support a continuously improving homebuilding industry and strengthen confidence in Ontario’s new home marketplace.

Make a difference: Help identify and provide insight on emerging issues and challenges affecting the new home construction sector in Ontario. 

Strengthen the homebuilding industry: Offer advice to enhance industry awareness and engagement, and contribute ideas that improve service delivery, policies, and procedures across the sector.

Connect and collaborate: Share the perspectives of builders and professionals from across the province while collaborating with a diverse group of respected peers representing Ontario’s home construction industry. 

Who We’re Looking For: 

We’re seeking professionals with experience in: 

  • Small, medium, large, or high-rise building operations
  • Custom home building
  • Supervising day-to-day construction 
  • Overseeing customer service for licensed builders 

We welcome applicants who reflect Ontario’s geographic and professional diversity. Members are expected to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and have strong interest in supporting HCRA’s mandate in upholding consumer protection.

The personal information you provide is being collected as authorised by the terms of the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017 (“NHCLA”) and the Administrative Agreement between the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (“HCRA”) the Minister of Government and Consumer Services (now Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement).  The Access and Privacy Code under this Agreement governs the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of this information by the HCRA.

The information will be used to determine your qualifications for employment with the HCRA and is necessary to the HCRA’s administration of the NHCLA.

Please be advised that, to assist its hiring process, the HCRA uses a service provider located in the United States of America; the personal information you provide will be stored on the service provider’s servers, subject to its privacy policy (available here) and the laws of its jurisdiction.
