As a Senior Project Engineer at HIT, you will be the top technical expert for complex networking, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Azure networking issues. You will also design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure in collaboration with network architects and engineers, following industry standards and best practices.

Project Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the highest point of technical escalation for complex networking, AVD, and Azure networking issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents, providing in-depth analysis and expert solutions for advanced network problems.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to provide guidance and mentorship on resolving complex technical issues.
- Manage and maintain the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Design, implement, and manage Azure networking solutions, including Virtual Networks, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring network issues and develop long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Monitor network performance and security, utilizing tools like Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and Azure Security Center.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network incidents.
- Work closely with network architects and engineers to design and implement scalable and reliable network infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and performance.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams on networking, AVD, and Azure-related topics.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new solutions and methodologies into the existing network infrastructure.
- Assist in capacity planning and network optimization to support business growth and evolving technical requirements.

- TCP/IP networking stack, switches, routers and firewalls
- VLAN configuration and the ability to support

- Cloud computing infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- ConnectWise Manage
- Complete command of English language both written and conversational
- Cisco Meraki devices and alerts
Experience/Skills Preferred
- ConnectWise Automate and Control
- Auvik
- ESET Security Management Console
