Director of Product Management – AI & Automation (Title & Escrow)

San Francisco, CA

***** This role is based in San Francisco, CA - Office days are Wed and Thur *****

Who We Are

HomeLight is transforming the real estate transaction process by bringing speed, transparency, and intelligence to the complex world of title and escrow. Backed by top-tier investors, we're entering a new phase of growth—fueled by cutting-edge automation, operational scale, and AI-powered innovation.

We’re seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our AI automation initiatives within HomeLight Closing Services. Your mission: build and scale Computer Use Agents (CUAs) that streamline escrow operations, reduce turnaround times, and redefine how real estate transactions get done.

Who You Are

You will lead the roadmap and execution of AI automation across complex, document-heavy, and regulated workflows—starting with title and escrow. You’ll partner cross-functionally to build AI systems that can use software like a human: navigating UIs, extracting and entering data, adapting to edge cases, and improving through feedback.
If you're passionate about applied AI, LLMs, workflow intelligence, and building agents that do the work, not just suggest it, this is your role.

What You’ll do Here

  • Product Vision & Strategy
    • Define and own the roadmap for CUAs and other intelligent automation features across our title and escrow platform.
    • Champion a bold vision for how Agentic AI can transform back-office operations, starting with escrow workflows like HOAs, payoffs, E&O checks, and more.

  • Agentic AI Innovation
    • Build Computer Use Agents that autonomously operate internal and third-party SaaS tools, adapting to changes and collaborating with human experts when needed.
    • Translate cutting-edge LLM capabilities (e.g., OCR, reasoning, UI navigation) into intuitive product experiences for real-world operations.

  • Customer & Ops Impact
    • Deeply understand the needs of escrow officers, processors, and customers—turning friction points into automation opportunities.
    • Measure impact using KPIs tied to turnaround time, throughput, NPS, and agent accuracy.

  • Execution & Iteration
    • Work closely with engineering, data science, compliance, and legal to scope, prioritize, and deliver high-quality releases.
    • Lead A/B tests, run fast experiments, and iterate constantly using data and user feedback.

  • Integration & AI Stack Development
    • Evaluate build-vs-buy for AI tools and partners; own vendor selection for OCR, LLMs, and automation platforms.
    • Partner with platform teams to define scalable systems for agent orchestration, logging, and performance monitoring.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Align with executive stakeholders and ops teams to ensure AI adoption drives measurable business outcomes.
    • Contribute to a culture of rapid learning, transparency, and ownership.

What You Bring

  • Experience & Leadership
    • 8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years building or scaling AI/ML products.
    • Proven success launching AI agents, intelligent automations, or complex integrations in SaaS, fintech, legal tech, or proptech.
    • Bonus: Experience in high-compliance domains like real estate, banking, or legal operations.

  • Technical Fluency
    • Strong grasp of LLMs, OCR, APIs, model training pipelines, prompt engineering, and agent architectures.
    • Ability to make smart tradeoffs between data needs, model performance, scalability, and UX.

  • Execution Mindset
    • Experience taking products from 0→1 and iterating fast based on data.
    • You know how to manage ambiguity, align stakeholders, and get things out the door.

  • Clear Communicator & Collaborator
    • Exceptional writing and product storytelling—clear, concise, persuasive.
    • Able to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior leaders, and navigate cross-org complexity.

  • User-Centered Builder
    • Obsessed with simplifying complex workflows for end users.
    • Balance UX, automation, and trust in building AI products people rely on.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
