Inventory Control Manager
BACKGROUND
Due to our rapid growth, our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our teams. To this end, we are posting for a strong Inventory Control Manager. This role will be based in our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility or our Norton, MA warehouse.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory flow throughout the production sites and distribution centers, ensuring both accuracy of inventory levels and FEFO of product. This position is part of the Supply Chain Department and requires someone with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with management, floor personnel, financial partners and other internal departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manages physical inventories process of all site components.
- Oversees cycle counting programs and audits at all locations.
- Leverage continuous improvement concepts to optimize the cycle counting process.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, working closely with warehouse, production and accounting teams.
- Maintain strong dotted line ownership to cycle counting team.
- Monitors and validates all inventory adjustments being made within the system.
- Provides regular reports to leadership team on the current state of the inventory with strong understanding of key drivers and recommended actions
- Maintains and updates related scorecard dashboards to keep the business appraise on critical KPI.
- Looks at processes and procedures in production and the warehouse for inefficiencies and works on solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with the costing, customer service and regulatory team to ensure accurate financial forecasts based on inventory adjustments.
- Assist in troubleshooting functions related to shipping/receiving/production/consumption.
- Act as super user for Microsoft D365 system and champion innovation for process efficiency, data visibility and reporting
- Strong sense of ownership with ability to work autonomously and advocate for support as necessary to drive results
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field required.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formula creation) required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in Manufacturing and distribution settings.
- Familiarity with inventory management documentation and processing requirements preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and upholds high standards.
- Knowledge of ERP systems required Microsoft D365 experience preferred.
