Inventory Control Supervisor - Multiple shifts
The Inventory Control Supervisor will work on checking batch order consumption and output, making sure all inventory is assigned to the orders they belong to, and the data input is accurate and on time. Will work closely with production management and warehouse department to resolve consumption and output issues in a timely manner, keep the ERP information technology system in sync with production activities with a goal of increasing cost accuracy. Will train new staff on the ERP system.
We are in need of both a 1st shift Supervisor (M-F 5:00am – 5:00pm) and 2nd Shift Supervisor (M-F 5:00pm - 5:00am)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect Data from batch runs and compile them to get a proper scrap on all items in formula
- Work closely with Operations Managers, Work Center Leads (Production Managers), and Research & Development to make sure formula changes are made in a timely manner for better inventory accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems with focus on Modules like Production Control, Inventory management and Product Information Management (bill of materials).
- Follow up daily with hourly team members, including Inventory Control Clerks, on the production floor to ensure compliance with processes.
- Seek and continually assess ways to improve processes and new training methodologies as needed.
- Assist with clerical tasks, such as planning and scheduling participants for specific training programs and tracking performed training and attendance.
- Assist with tracking, updating and identifying variance gaps within the production processes to include raw and packaging areas for all lines.
- Ensure all training SOP are updated as needed.
- Work closely with the scanners on the production floor and help in eliminating any issues with consumption and output in a timely manner.
- Track progress and report metrics
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- 4-8 years of experience working as an inventory controller, or as supervisor in a manufacturing facility. Leadership experience required.
- Experience in troubleshooting ERP systems issues, errors and data required
- Experience training others to become proficient users and super users required
- Proficiency in English; excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills required. Portuguese fluency a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
