Hone is looking for a Senior Director of Data & Enterprise Intelligence to lead our data vision, aligning it with business strategy to drive impactful insights and long-term growth. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the strategic development of our data infrastructure, building scalable, secure, and efficient capabilities within Microsoft Fabric. This role requires a seasoned leader with a holistic understanding of data’s role in empowering business outcomes, adept at bridging strategic and technical domains to drive an enterprise-wide, data-first approach. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires excelling in an unstructured setting and thinking outside the box.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Strategic Data Leadership: Define, champion, and evolve a data strategy that enables us to unlock the full potential of data across the organization. You will ensure that our data initiatives directly support and accelerate business objectives, creating value through data at every level.
- Microsoft Fabric Implementation: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our core data infrastructure within Microsoft Fabric, leveraging its integrated tools for data integration, warehousing, and analytics to create a cohesive data platform that scales with business needs.
- Enterprise Intelligence Development: Oversee the creation of advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions, ensuring stakeholders have access to insightful, actionable information through robust Microsoft Fabric capabilities. Champion the development of dashboards, reporting, and predictive analytics that inform business decisions.
- Core Infrastructure & Architecture: Lead the data engineering team and its collaborative efforts across the broader technology group to design and maintain a scalable, efficient data architecture within Microsoft Fabric. Focus on establishing a single source of truth across all business functions, enabling seamless data flows, efficient storage, and effective querying. This role will own all data architecture decisions and will provide design guidance to the product and engineering teams as new capabilities are developed.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce best practices for data governance within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring the security, quality, and integrity of our data. Implement compliance protocols to meet regulatory standards while facilitating responsible and ethical data use.
- Established a global data governance capability by developing and enforcing standards for the process of data collection and analysis.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-functional teams—including business leaders and technical teams—to align data strategies with organizational objectives. Provide guidance on how data insights can drive performance, innovation, and growth across departments.
- Operations: Analyze cross company data streams to find new business insights and drive the resulting process changes through Hone
- Marketing: Leverage data to improve funnel conversion across channels
- Financial: Optimize insights to inform pricing decisions and retention
- Product: Work with the product management and technology teams to integrate clinical findings directly into decision support tools and patient experience.
- Medical: Leverage patient health data to optimize insights for medical leadership to streamline physician-patient interactions
- Customer Service: Use core patient interaction data to help improve metrics around patent support
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader in data strategy, continuously exploring new technologies and approaches within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Identify opportunities to enhance our competitive position through advanced data capabilities, from machine learning to real-time analytics. Including:
- Integrate clinical, business, and patient insights to build the first-ever vertically integrated drug commercialization and patient care engine.
- Partner with the clinical team to capture and analyze longitudinal patient data for clinical research.
- Build margin optimization data science products comprising forecasting, omnichannel fulfillment & optimization, & pricing.
- Mentorship & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
- Lead and supervise groups researching strategic business data and conducting data analysis by Interpreting information.
- Build out data & analytics team by attracting new top talent & accelerating the development of existing leaders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic data leadership, specifically in using a systems-thinking mindset necessary to align business needs and product development architectural decisions.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including its tools for data integration, warehousing, analytics, and compliance.
- Strong background in data engineering and architecture, with a clear understanding of building and scaling data platforms.
- Proficiency in business intelligence and analytics, with a track record of developing impactful, data-driven insights.
- Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance standards within Microsoft Fabric or similar environments.
- Test and learn mindset with strong analytical skills
- Good understanding and working knowledge of SQL and various analytical tools
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
- Creative problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
- Can quickly learn new technology systems and communication tools
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
