The Role
Hone is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Head of Product Design to evolve our Design System and help refine the visual language of our product. You will work as a critical contributor to lead the creation of a unified, cohesive set of standards, components, and patterns to elevate the craft and ensure our product is intuitive, engaging, and delightful. You will also work as a partner with product management, engineering, and design leadership to evolve and build out new functionality in our patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Evolve our product design language by creating foundational elements, components, patterns, templates, and pages
- Build and maintain design system artifacts including a Figma library, documentation, and tooling
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and leadership to improve our patient experience
- Design flows, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and prototypes that translate product needs into systematic design solutions
- Work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent design, facilitate design discussions, and ensure design quality
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Have 4+ years of experience as an individual contributor on a Product Design team for desktop and mobile applications
- Highly proficient with designing and prototyping using the Figma features – auto-layout, components, variables, etc.
- Have an outstanding portfolio, showcasing attention to detail, divergent thinking, and a strong foundation in typography, interaction, and visual design
- Ability to explore ideas and build consensus on fast-moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity
- Prior experience working on a Design System; a plus if you’ve built a Design System 0-1
- Prior experience in healthcare or health tech preferred
Compensation Range
$160,000 - $200,000 based on location and experience
