Senior Product Manager - Launch
A little more about the team:
Honeycomb's Launch team owns the earliest stages of the Honeycomb user journey, with responsibility for helping new and migrating teams quickly understand their systems, build confidence in Honeycomb’s model of investigation, and adopt workflows that feel intuitive and powerful from day one. This includes shaping how users orient themselves in the product, learn new mental models as they transition from legacy observability tools, and collaborate through AI-native experiences powered by Canvas, MCP, and integrated workflows.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Honeycomb’s Launch team, helping onboard and level up teams to better understand and observe their systems.
- Drive product discovery in close partnership with a UX designer, engineering manager, and tech lead—identifying high-impact problems and iterating on solutions.
- Deeply understand developer needs and translate those into intuitive, powerful observability experiences in the Honeycomb UI.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ensure customer feedback, business context, and technical constraints shape the product.
- Engage directly with users through interviews, research, and usability testing to inform prioritization and guide product decisions.
- Advocate for the developer experience, ensuring that performance data is actionable, discoverable, and deeply useful to frontend teams.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Excellent communication skills – You can clearly articulate complex ideas, whether it’s aligning stakeholders on strategy, documenting product decisions, or providing crisp updates to leadership.
- Deeply curious, no matter the subject – You ask great questions and dig deep to truly understand problems—whether technical, business, or user-related.
- You excel at collaboration – You work in deep partnership with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams—not just handing off specs, but truly co-creating solutions.
- Data-driven decision-making – You value qualitative and quantitative insights to understand your users and prioritize effectively.
- Think strategically and tactically, and then make it happen – You balance big-picture strategy with tactical execution, breaking down complex problems into actionable plans that drive meaningful customer and business impact.
- Don’t shy away from technical conversations - You bring the voice of the customer to engineering, ask the right questions, build credibility with engineers, and ensure that technical decisions align with product and business goals.
- Strong user empathy – You deeply understand and advocate for your customers by understanding their challenges and motivations.
- Thrive in ambiguity – You enjoy solving puzzles, tackling unknowns, and shaping direction from first principles.
